I couldn't tell you what part of my life I like the most. It feels like everything that I do is the best thing at the time and I enjoy that feeling greatly. In some ways I have a true "Hakuna Matata" lifestyle, which is great on the weekends, but not always so great when I just have to stay up and watch the end of a UNC game.
Living in a college town is a wonderful thing when the team you live down the street from is the team you're cheering on. My father buys season tickets to the UNC football games and I keep an eye out for the football season all year 'round. Football is easily my favorite sport to watch. Depending on the time in the season there's nothing like sitting in the cold or the heat and cheering on the home team as they tear down the field in a marvelous dash for the last few points we need to win the game. Duke/Carolina games are my favorites out of all of them though. The rivalry makes for one wonderful afternoon in the stadium.

Being the multitasker that I am, I usually have a few art projects going on in the background. My biggest project was the Bajoran Meditation Circle in cross stitch. It's the first of my major art projects that I've given away, but I did get a few pictures to keep to remember the experience of making it. I've done a few Mirror collages, taking parts of broken mirrors, putting them together over each other and painting the finished art to look like a forrest or mountain range. My first of course was a tribute to the Mirror Universe.
The project that replaces this is one I've looked forward to working on for for a while. I paint and decopage old bookshelves now. Most I get from my work or family, just old shelves that need repair, I fix them up and then go to work. My latest set of these are a set of four two-shelf pieces for my Star Trek video collections. One bookshelf for each show. I did DS9 first and promise to post that image as soon as I have it.

I try and do as much as I can outside of the house as possible. On nice days I take the laptop out on the deck and let the dog and rats run around while I work. I do a lot of walking and try and get in some of the basketball playing that I used to manage. I'm just a little rusty, but not as rusty in basketball as I am in my baseball.
Most of my vacations have been either to the beach or to the mountains, both places I adore greatly. Something about salt in the air and being on top of the world just tugs at my creativity. I spend many hours flopped out in the sand building Star Trek sculptures just as the sun's rising over the ocean and just as much time lying in or near a small creek up in the mountains, just listening to what nature has to say about things.

I do eventually find my way out of my house and into the wide, wide world of people. When I'm feeling like being outgoing, I snag a friend or two and head out the the clubs. I don't really enjoy dancing, but the entire experience cleans my insides in some way that I really can't explain. Usually I'm only out on the weekends to Legends, but sometimes I make it out to Boxers, a bar in Durham about 15 minutes away, mostly on one of those nights when quiet is better.
And whenever I'm not doing anything else I'm doing a bit of messing around with a few of my computer games. Simba's pride's Game Break and the Star Trek Trivia game are two that you'll find me in front of quite often. Myst and Ryven my newest additions. They reminds me quite a bit of the DOS game Castle that my web Castle was based off of. Sometimes I mess around with my DS9 Personal Desktop program, grabbing new ideas for my older pages, but most of my computer work has been trying to put up a 3D version of the Castle that won't be ready for quite some time, I'm afraid.

Finally there's my newest work for Nana Visitor's fanclub Nanites. Or it used to be Nanites, now it's Far Beyond the Stars, as it's merged with her husband Alexander Siddig's fanclub. We Nanites still kling to the old title though, and I guess the best way to phrase it would be that the members of Far Beyond the Stars who are Nana's fans are still called Nanites. Confusing enough?
Before and around the time of the Illinois convention I kept myself hidden among the masses, but more recently I've taken an active role with the club itself, posting in the newsletter, hosting gatherings, even keeping up a fan page. I've made many new friends around the world as we've followed the ongoing career of Nana and am planning to gather everyone for a night on Broadway when Nana starts Chicago there.

There's so much more to include and maybe I'll update this sometime. For now, thanks for visiting. As always if you have questions or comments just mail me
